Trade only

Hair & Beauty World is a trade only supplier. By purchasing from us you are confirming that you are qualified or training in the hair or beauty profession and as such are competent in using the products sold on this website. We will not be held responsible for any injury or damages incurred by users of the products we sell. We reserve the right to ask for proof of professional status and to refuse to fulfil an order if we believe the person ordering is not a trade customer.

As a business user, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are insured for products that you are using.

To shop in-store, we will require a valid form of ID along with some form of proof that you work and/or are qualified or training in the hair or beauty industry. This could include a course completion certificate, student enrolment letter, or trade card from another industry wholesaler.

General

We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms & Conditions, and indeed the content of this website at any time. If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any of the remaining conditions.

This website contains material which is owned by or licenced to us. This includes, but is not limited to the design, layout, look and graphics. You are not permitted to copy or reproduce content from this website for commercial purposes, and must credit Hair & Beauty World other reproduction (in which case you shall not alter the content where we require to be credited). Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence. This website may include links to other websites which is strictly for your convenience and to supply further information on our product offering. This does not signify that we endorse these websites and we have no responsibility for their content.

Your use of this website and any dispute arising out of this is subject to the laws of Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Product availability

All products on this website are subject to stock availability. If there is insufficient stock to fulfil your order we will contact you (usually via email) confirming which item(s) are out of stock. Items not shipped will need to be re-ordered. We will not be obliged to offer compensation for any disappointment suffered. If a particular item is out of stock on our website, you can request to be notified when it comes back into stock via the product detail page.

Please be aware that in certain cases where a product is going through a packaging update, the new version will be phased in and as such, the packaging may differ from that depicted on the website.

Clearance items which are often discontinued by the supplier may also have imperfect packaging due to being held in stock for an extended period of time.

Data Protection

We are committed to preserving the privacy of our customers. We may use your personal data internally for administrative purposes, and keep this information for an extended period of time. By agreeing to our Terms & Conditions when you register on our site, you are opting in to email communication regarding new product launches and promotions that may be of interest to you. You have to opportunity to opt out of these communications at any time.

We will not sell or divulge your personal details to any third parties, unless this is to comply with any legal obligation or to protect the rights, property or safety of our business or customers. This includes the exchange of information for the purpose of fraud protection, credit risk reduction and criminal investigations.

Product Information & Pricing

All product specifications, images and other information published on our website have either been made accessible by suppliers, manufactures, publications, publicists, or been gathered from public-domain sources.  All information on the website should be as accurate and up to date as possible.

All prices listed on the website are exclusive of VAT and delivery and are quoted in GBP unless otherwise stipulated. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors on the site at any time without notice and to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been placed.

Special offer items are subject to availability (while stocks last) and may change without notice. In-store offers may not be available online; online offers may not be available in store. When a free or discontinued product is issued as part of a special offer, this must be returned or full selling price paid if the qualifying product is returned as unwanted. Items already discounted, Salon Equipment and shipping are excluded from any promotional codes.

Cancellation & Amendment of Orders

We’re sorry that in most circumstances it is not possible to make changes to your order once it has been placed. If your order has already been dispatched, you will need to return any unwanted items following our returns policy.

If your order hasn’t yet been processed by the warehouse, we may be able to change delivery address details, remove items from your order or cancel it completely. Cancellation and amendment of orders cannot be done outside business hours.

Payment

We accept payment via the following methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express & PayPal.

Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within 1-2 working days however this can vary due to stock availability. Furniture & Equipment items are normally delivered within 2-4 weeks (some items have lead times stipulated), however certain items which are more specialised can take up to 18 weeks. We will notify you of any long-term out of stock items. However, in unforeseen instances where we have not been notified by the supplier or manufacturer we will offer you a substitute product or a refund.

All larger furniture items are delivered to the kerbside only. You will be advised of an estimated delivery date after your order has been placed. Please arrange for appropriate help to be available to take larger/ heavier items into your salon or home address.

We use a courier ‘next working day’ delivery service for all orders to the UK mainland addresses. Scottish Highlands & Islands & UK Islands incur additional charges. Please refer to our delivery information page for more details. All delivery times are quoted in good faith and we cannot accept liability for any expenses or any other costs incurred due to failed or late deliveries.

Please note that for some bulkier products (namely furniture), the delivery surcharge may need to be increased. You will be informed of this prior to your order being dispatched.

We accept no responsibility for late, missed or failed deliveries as these are carried out by the courier company on our behalf. Orders requiring more than 1 parcel may be split by the courier and require more than 1 delivery.

Delivery times may differ from standard business hours. Generally, our courier will deliver up to 7pm but may go beyond this during busier periods.

You may be charged a redelivery fee if you are unable to accept a delivery, and the goods are consequently returned to the depot. To avoid this, please make sure you are available to accept a delivery on the day(s) quoted and arrange for any additional help you require to take larger items into your premises.

Orders placed before the advertised cut off time may be eligible for next day delivery. This applies to orders placed Monday to Thursday on working days only. Orders placed on a Friday will usually be delivered on the Monday, although there is an option to request Saturday delivery at an additional charge. Where the next working day is a bank holiday, goods will be out for delivery on the following working day. Please note that delivery terms are subject to change without notice and will be displayed on the website.

Delivery Notification Service

In order to keep you up to date and deliver your goods at a time most convenient for you, your email and phone number (where provided) will be passed to our courier company so that they can email you throughout the various stages of your delivery. You will be notified of a delivery time slot, which you will have the opportunity to change or delay to a time more convenient. This service is only available for goods dispatched by out courier, DPD and to UK addresses only.

Damaged, incorrectly delivered or missing goods

We take great care to ensure all goods delivered to you are correct and undamaged. However, in the rare instance that this occurs please notify us by email or telephone within 48 hours of receiving your order. We are not liable for any loss of earnings or other costs incurred due to damage or incorrect products received, or items missing from deliveries.

We will investigate immediately and contact you with the next steps. You will be reimbursed the cost of delivery if required to send anything back to us. We will request photographs of any damaged items.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. By agreeing to our Terms & Conditions, you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. If you believe that your password has become known to anyone else, you must inform us immediately.

Ownership of goods

We retain ownership of the goods you order until we receive full payment for the order including any applicable delivery charges. Once the goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

Force Majeure

Hair & Beauty World is entitled to cancel or delay delivery of orders if it is delayed, hindered or prevented from delivery through circumstances beyond its control. Such circumstances include (but are not limited to) industrial action, accident, fire, act of god or failure to deliver by suppliers or couriers.
